Somewhere in your operation there is a job that comes round every month, quarter or year: the board pack, the rent indexation, the service charge reconciliation. The figures come out of three systems that do not agree, so somebody exports them, reconciles them by hand, and pastes the result into a spreadsheet nobody else dares touch.
Last year you funded an AI pilot to fix exactly this. It demoed well, then went quiet. The data underneath turned out to be the problem, and nobody said so until the budget was gone.
Now a vendor is promising agents, and you have no way of knowing whether your systems can carry one before you sign.
